Bad Table Manners has a mother. Verkhotura & Friends was a Russian art-activist group that existed from 2008 to 2013 in Kaliningrad, Saint-Petersburg and Moscow. The group was famous for its radical dance performances, fearless political actions, unique educational events and feral documentary films. Members of this group were persecuted, arrested and had to flee the country because of the political agenda of the group. Each and every person in the group stood on ultimate queer, anti-fascist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-xenophobic, anti-racist, anti-police, anti-TERF, anti-ableist, anti-ageist positions. Although members of this group now live different kinds of life in different places of the world they have never questioned any of these ideas. Below is a modest video archive of the group.
